Climate Hearts as a way to bring people together for Climate Action.

In 2019, a global phenomenon took place in the climate advocacy world around the hashtag #RiseForClimate.

Building off of climate heart formations done during the 2014 and 2015 People’s Climate March events which IAMovement hosted during key summits in New York and Paris – we continued to foster activities over the years which helped to bring people together and build awareness and support for climate awareness and action in T&T. Along with various public education and on-the-ground activities in communities, organizations and schools – the invitation was sent out for groups to form their own #Hearts4Climate formations and to share pictures which could be further shared and shown publicly to drive greater overall awareness and engagement on critical environment and climate matters in T&T and globally.

A number of these activities took place, and a small collage of #Heart4Climate formations was put together featuring different heart formations made by groups of people and organizations in T&T over the years, all in an effort to help raise awareness and drive action on climate. This mini-collage was shared to social media and other spaces in support of the global #RiseForClimate movement to help drive overall awareness and advocacy around climate change here in Trinidad & Tobago.
